Composition is great. I feel that it should have been taken without the bright sky, or at least a darker one... or is it supposed to be that way?

What were you trying to do with this shot? Was it just an exercise in off-camera flash?

For more impact, get in closer and ultra wide. Pull the exposure down a stop to darken the background.

The composition seems a little boring, the background isnt complementing the subject at all.
