so here in germany it is 3:35AM and i was outside with my dog and saw this clear sky with that million stars so i tried to make a photo with my digicam but its just black (now ive a black photo, yippie )
so my question is, what kind of cam do i need to make clear/sharp pictures at night? i wont miss moments like this in future i was realy fascinated

the best type of camera would be a single lens reflex camera.
you can play with different settings to adjust how much light the camera lets in, which is what you'd need for shooting a starry sky.

or just change your shutter speed that should fix it if its really dark change shutter speed to stay open 10 seconds or something basically what doyleo said

Any camera that allows you manual controls would be the best. Whether it's a single lens reflex or rangefinder is irrelevant.
