okay so my b day is comming up soon and im looking for a CHEAP SLR reflex digital camera with a good quality, like something worth the money some one would be spending on it. im not in some rich family and im gonna try to push for a camera this year so i want t oget one worth there money.

just go for some of the old models.

if we take canon for instant (you can do it with other brands as well, but im not that famililer to their names etc) you can see that the 500D just came out, which means that the 450D is lowered a lot in price, sometimes you can be lucky to find that, and down to the 350, very cheap because their out of production and the shops just need to sell them, to replace with a new model.

and then you can allways buy better optics in the future :).

You'll probably get a better/same price when you go with Future Shop / Best Buy rather than a camera store. There isn't really any mark-up on camera bodies.
The D3000 is a good camera, the D5000 would be one a step up from it but a better buy if you have the money.

Do NOT get the d60... If you get an older "version" of a nikon dslr get a d80...

okay il just stick to the d 3000 then XD
