yeah so I kinda announced that I´d buy my first DSLR the past weeks. I finally did it. I chose to buy the 1000D, because I needed to save up a little money for my holidays, and because the dissadvantaged to the 450D were not really dramatic. I´ll be going out and shoot a hell lot of pics in the upcoming days / weeks.

Here is my first attempt. model is my little sister ( ^^ ). minor edits done in photoshop already.

thats the original pic. I just like that rather bland color sheme on most of my shots. so I put a gradient map over my pic, sharpened some spots up a little, and played around with the contrast a little. I`m trying to keep it as natural as possible.

I'll be keeping an eye on your DA account for some photos, good choice going for the Canon rather than the Sony.
