That takes the whole purpose out the whole light painting thing though. Honestly, light painting is my favorite thing when it comes to photography. Its just so fun.

There is many other things that could be used for this type of photography.
You could simply get a small LED light and attach it to the empty spray paint can. (I think that would look better anyways for the composition of the photograph.)
I actually used an incense one time to attempt something a little like this.
I just see it as a waste of money and creativity.
Just my opinion though.

I use all kinds of things for light painting personally. My favorite thus far is actually my iPod and an LED hula hoop. Granted none of you probably enjoy light painting as much as me, I merely want this just for the feel of it all. Spray light painting, mmmmm. Attaching an LED would work, but the whole reason why its attached the way it is, is to allow different levels of light to pass through the spout. If you were to attach an LED to any spray can you obviously wouldn't be able to control that. Making this, in my opinion, superior.
