Everyday is sunny here in Maui

It's wonderful. I've actually taken surprisingly less shots of this beautiful place than I had expected as I've often found myself too wrapped up in the beauty of the moment to compose and shoot. The few shots I have taken however (300shots since I left home roughly 2.5weeks ago) have been quite special as I've never really taken the same amount of time to compose a shot as I have before. I've caught myself spending around five, ten or even 15 minutes just positioning, re-positioning and trying out different settings before settling for my final shot and moving on and it's yielded quite beautiful results which I hope to make even nicer and present to you guys once I can edit them to my likings

The above shot I didn't spend more than two minutes on however as my parents were growing impatient of me taking me time after asking them to pull the car over so I could take this shot. I'm not sure if any of you are familiar with the lyrics I posted above, but they relate to this sign in particular. The lyrics derive from the Eagles song "The Last Resort" which is basically about every mans paradise. If you haven't heard the song yet I suggest you listen to it as it's quite beautiful. The paragraph in particular refers to Maui - the hawai'ian island which I'm currently typing this topic from.

On a personal level this vacation has treated me well. I've been able to find myself like never before and I really feel much more in touch with my mind and soul. I feel that I've grown incredibly these last two or three weeks both as a person and as a photographer and it feels great. Although I do long for home and miss all of my friends and my surroundings I also never want to leave this place. I hope everybody else's vacation has yielded as positive results as mine.

Wonderful Picture Gab.
I love it. I've recently been getting into Christianity myself.
I was never a very religious person until my Uncle came around.
Now everything has been going great in my life.

Although I personally don't believe in any religion myself I do think religion is a great thing. I mean, apart from the senseless wars and conflicts it causes, I think it can really bring people together and closer to one and another. I don't think I could ever see myself being religious but that doesn't mean that I can't take one or two teachings from different religions into heart
