Everything! Haha... Mainly macro/ portraits/ snapshots... Macro cause the awesome DoF obviously. Snapshots cause its the lens attached whenever I will be carrying it around either on my neck or in my backpack..

It can get about a foot and a half away from the subject... Its close enough for what I want it for... I can also buy a filter that can reduce that focal distance about in half, dunno how much those would cost though...

It was about $520ish with a protection plan on it, wasn't too bad... The next lenses I want are much more expensive :( 24-70mm 2.8 that will cost like $1800 and a 70-200mm 2.8 that will cost over $2k... Heh won't be fun paying for those...

1:1 magnify is macro, without filter you can get to about 1:4 or something like that only. Closeup filters arent expencive, i bought a set for my old 50mm 1.8 and it was 50€ for +1 +2 and +4(or 3 i cant remember), but 50mm 1.8 uses smaller filters, so theyr cheaper, but again we got higher tax in finland, so i think u might still get them bit cheaper there.
