I believe that setting is just so that you can easily over/under expose for that one shot... HDR's are edited from three images merged together with one under exposed, one over exposed, and one at proper exposure... Read the manual if you have it, I'd imagine there is a way to take three shots with three different settings at the same time which you'd then be able to turn into HDR...

Thanks! I couldn't find anything about it in my manual

so the camera basicly "took 3 images" and chosed the best one?
