Anyone use these before? I am wanting one, but not sure what the difference really is between the two?

RC-1 (this is the one I am steering towards)

I've never used a cannon remote - but I can assume that they are no different from the Nikon ones.

Remotes are really nice for group self shots and very low shutter speed shots. If you have some money, buy one - its a worthy investment.

Hmmm ... okay... I am steering more towards the more expensive one which is 50 bucks where I am from. Is yours wireless? Have you tried the BULB setting with it?

I am also looking for a remote for my XSI and from what I have heard the main difference between RC1 and RC5 is that RC1 also allows you to have a 2sec shutter delay. I am sure Spencer is right about that RC1 is the better one :)
