alright cut my hair (very slightly) and thought i'd try and get a new flickr photo and was rather happy with this
light from my desk lamp

Arg, how do you do self portraits? Do you use a tripod? I know you use the timer, but how do you get the composition and focus right?

I do mine with guess and check. lol.

I like it, but i think it would be better if you had the hair in front of your face pushed back.

i actually don't have a timer or tripod so its just hold it out as far as i can check its gunna get as much of my face as i want face prep click, focus was auto and composition it took like 20 tries

Lol, I don't even do self portraits, let alone portraits... They seem so freaking hard to me... Granted I really haven't given it much of an effort... Maybe I should work on that...

not a self portrait if ur not pushing the button.
and its fun and you get the last say how you look i hate when your not happy with a photo someone else takes of you and they love it

Making someone else push the button is hard, since they don't know what they're doing... they can't tell if the focus is in the correct spot etc. I got no one ^_^
