Alright, so you already know the fact that I got a Minolta XG1 Film camera, with 3 Manual Focus lenses for $50!!
Anyways, right after I got it I went to the closest store, and found film! (I know nothing about film, and all they had was color. So I grabbed the most expensive one there (Which was a 5 pack for $11.) of Color ISO 400 "All Purpose" film!!
These are the first 2 photographs I have taken with it, ever. And also the first film photos I've ever taken. I really love the effect, the noise and the feel to them. Please remember this was done with a Manual Focus lens, out in a pretty windy forest on a sunny day.

I'm so amazed at technology, the fact that they processed this film in an hour, and gave me a digital CD of the images! (And the images were only like 40KBs each!! Amazing!! So small!

PS: PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE Forgive me for the lack of attention to the contest. I've been SO busy with everything lately!! Seriously, I have so much to do, and so little time to do it. I can't believe I am already leaving to Toronto/NYC in a week!!!!
I will try my hardest to have the coding edited completely tomorrow morning to update the sticky, and have it sent off to an Admin for editing!! Please bear with me!! It's been busy.

The next Photo Contest ends a bit later in August.

I like the second one the most. The first one doesn't do it's justice for me... it just looks like a random snap shot :S.

I also like the graininess of the film photos - I love film. You should try black and white! <3

I agree with chantal, the first does seem a bit random, nothing special, but I really like the second.

Well it was the first shot. It wasn't meant to be anything.
It's hard to focus it. I was testing it out, trying to get the focus right and the DoF. It's hard with film and manual focus, you gotta line these 2 things up, or else it gets messed up.

LOL. You guys are just too much. Its like saying Im trying out this thing called a pencil. You write with it but some times it breaks. The great part is you can sharpen it. I hear they used to use these way back in the day! Film... lol... What you should really look into is developing it yourself. Now THAT is a TON of fun. I mean talk about controll.... Look into it you might find a new passion. I love it more than anything. As soon as I have the time Im converting one of the rooms in my basement into a dark room. My Pentax ME and I are soulmates for sure.

yes its like when you pick out some pens and you want to scribble some stuff on a piece of paper to see how it works and how you like it.
you're not trying to get an amazing shot right off the bat.
you're just adjusting to it.

give him a break!

Nah, I wont process myself.

Like, I know people who do, and who have and I have complete acess to the stuff required...it's just the chemicals
are horrific to the environment. I'd rather somebody else do that stuff, and not me. I'll feel better then with the end of the world comes because of
global warming LOL!

Nahh, I'm just too lazy to do that stuff myself. It took me like 7 days to get the damn Competition thread updated, let alone process film?
lol
It's just for fun, I think I prefer digital over the film, although the film is still enjoyable.
