Some of you may know , yesterday i went to the paintball field to take photos of my friends playing.
I noticed that i needed a lens that goes a little further than 55mm. (for action too :P)
Any suggestion for a lens that can go on a d60 ?
Btw, i'll edit this thread for the photos of paintball (some are really sweet action shots !)

My Nikon 18-135mm f3.5-5.6 is a wonderful all-around lens
A little pricey however.

For 7-800US you can get the f2.8 ... it's more pro caliber than the whole walk around one size fits all lens ... such as an 18-135. It's also a lot faster lens which is what you need for sports/action ...

I have a 70-300mm on my d80
its still fairly light for its lens category and the Vibration reduction gives wolds of help.
Ive photographed lots of soccer games and it performs really well as long as the field is fairly well lit.. .daytime should be a breeze.
My recommendation is that you find something with VR... the difference between 200 and 300mm on a lens is very minute.

The 70-200mm 2.8 is an AMAZING lens. I will defiantly vouch that it is my favorite zoom lens.
The 80-200 is about $1000 less, but is has no VR and is fairly old.
If you have the $1,800ish for the 70-200 2.8, get it.
