The bike, in my opinion, is a bit too bright on the back next to the chain and a bit too dark in the front.

I love it, but I feel like the bricks in the background are in focus, and the bike is not?

A bit I think. I had to shot it in a hurry since I was late for my bus. xD
What do you guys do to make it sharp when you are low to the ground with the camera an can not see in the viewfinder.

My camera's live view screen can turn up and down. :D

So I can be standing straight up and have the camera level with the ground and still be able to see what I'm taking a picture of.

live view or plug into laptop and use remote live view!

Haha.. The remote live view would be great if you had a 13'' or a net book but with a 15.4'' or 17'' your kinda screwed, especially if you've got one like mine.

why how come you cant use laptops with bigger screens?
