As I rolled past this dense area of grass, this one, tiny droplet of water sparkled in the sun and caught the corner of my eye...

And then this flower caught my attention as I stopped for a water break...

I believe it's close to a wild rose, but not the actual Alberta Wild Rose. (I found one on a trail I often ride, but I'm waiting for it to fully bloom. Perhaps tomorrow or Friday!)

Tell me what you think! ^_^

And I just heard some pretty loud thunder, which means another intense storms tonight, Time to shut off the PC to protect it!

The second one is very nice, but the first I think should have been a bit closer.

Used 18-55 Kit, at 55mm, at the closest focusing distance possible.

Shoot was to go out and try with the Kit lens a bit more, because I've always though it was pretty useless until I got out again today with it, after learning more
about Manual mode since I got the camera, I find it much better than I though it to be. ^_^

Oh, well it worked beautifully for the second. What exactly is a Kit lens? I keep seeing talk of them but never actually figured out what it was.

It's the "default" lens that the camera includes when you buy it in a "kit"

I've seen it talked down upon, and even I have though badly about this lens (But, that was before I knew much about my camera, and I never used it since.)

So I went out today with it, and got this :)

Oh ok, then I love my Kit lens, haha... Or well I have nothing to use except it, I'll have a 18-70mm and a 75-300mm soon enough.. I want to get some wild life shots without having to be 5 feet from the dang things, deer and chipmunks are one thing to do it with, but I don't think I'm getting that close to a 400 lb Black Bear.

Hehe, yeah, it is actually a better lens than I though.

But I see two droplets... :D

<3

Water droplets on grass are easily my favorite thing to go take photos of...

The first one is great, I like the details and the droplets. :)

Nice shots :) I prefer the second one over the first. The dof in it is sexy ~ I can hardly imagine the background.
