The 85mm 1.8 is my favourite lens and i would not swap it for anything else, not even the 1.2!

The only thing i dislike about the lens is that its min focus distance is 0.85m

therefore im thinking of getting an extension tube so i can take more close ups, right now min focus distance means i can get a tight portrait which is great, but to take a picture of a flower or somthing i have to do a lot of cropping afterwards.

i know nothing about this - would it be a good investment? what to get a 12 or 25?

thanks

I'm looking into these as well.

I'm also wondering if they will let me zoom father, so instead of 200mm, like 300 or 400, that way I can get birds.
But I also want to use them for Macros.

HOWEVER, they are fucking expensive when you think about it.
All it is, is a simple piece of plastic that goes between the lens and the body.

Smaller for $134.

I'm thinking of getting that Kenko set, but unsure.
