Hi all,

I'm currently a noob and want to start with photography. I did some searching for a cheap (less then 200 bucks) and easy camera, wich has the possibility to modify a lot of settings.

I came across the Ricoh R10 camera wich seemed nice, because if I do like photography and wanna buy an expensive camera one day, I still got this one for concerts / parties / friends / etc...

here are all the specs: http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/specs/Ricoh/ricoh_r10.asp (This camera has a nice zoom, atleast for a compact camera, macro option and much more I think :P)

I read some starting guides online, but I guess it's the best to just start trying different things out and to get a feeling for it.

what do you think about the camera?
And does anyone got tips (or ideas) for a noob like me?

The specs look nice, find some photos it has taken. Try out flickr and type in the name of the camera. :)
We look forward to see you posting in here when you got the camera. :)

thx for the tip (:

All the pics look nice (although I don't see alot of different ones), but when I look at the highest resolution, it isn't really sharp (like this: http://www.flickr.com/photos/mawari/2874910231/sizes/o/). Is that normal (for a cheap compact camera?

And I'm also looking forward make some photos (:

I think it looks okay. But it got a lot of noise at ISO 80! :(
But it is normal for a compact.

When you unzoom it to be like 40%, it looks okay.

If you are sure you are going to use the camera each day and you want to do manual-settings-stuff. I suggest you buy a cheap dslr.
