So I finally had time to go to that circus earlier this evening and the main reason I went there was to take some pictures and see how hard it really is to take low light action photos with crappy equipment lol. I am not really disappointed with the results because I knew there would be a lot of motion blur but I was surprised by the low noise level in some of the photos course they were all taken at ISO 1600 and 3200 lol. I am also surprised to see over saturation in many of the photos to so I had to cheat and desaturate some of them in PS lol. I took over 160 pictures at that circus but only those below are half good enough to be posted in here :(

haha it's ok :p I am sure you didn't expect me to post 6545645 pictures this time course usually I only post like 65456 xD
hmm what does "vamle" mean? adorable?

Well that clown or more like a joker was dragging people from the audience so they would play some random instrument and of course usually they would make some random crappy noise and if they do he would drag them to the backstage and "shoot" them lol after he was done shooting the person who failed the test he would come back and blow out a candle but at the end he got "shot" by a lil kid. It's quite a silly show and you have to be there to actually find it some what amusing and funny :p

Damn, those are good futu. It's friggin' hard to take low-light action shots =( I've tried taking shots of my friends band at every one of their gigs this past month and they've all came out bad. I've never dared go over iso 1000 either though.

Thanks, buddy!
As I mentioned those are the more acceptable photos I took at the circus the others have just waaay too much motion blur. I believe I would have needed a faster lens for low light action photos like those probably the EF 70-200 f/2.8 or EF 85 f/1.8 :(
I am sure Nikon has similar lenses. hmm have you actually tried to go higher than ISO 1000? There is no way you could get any decent shot below ISO 1600 with the lens you have now :p

Nope! :p I did however take a pretty cool iso 1600 shot with my sister's boyfriend's wide-angle lens a few secs ago. I'll post it in a sec if it looks decent on the comp.
