Cool picture even though the girl kinda looks creepy almost like she's dead :O
It's a fun idea trying to imitate paintings or other kind of graphic art ^^

Well, your lighting setup looks completely wrong for that effect, and parts of her face are overexposed...

post how do u think it would look better, what kind of lighting setup?
overexposure yes, but all the details are there so it's on the acceptable edge for me.

Well, you said you were inspired by that piece, but apart from you making your photo blue, that's the only similarity. Overexposure isn't really acceptable, because it doesn't look good.

You'd need some proper lights as opposed to just flash to get that effect. The ice could have been done better, it following all the contours of the hair could look interesting.

1. there was no flash, the light was constant. the effect was made with contrast while developing the picture from the camera
2. doesnt look good - i see one opinion that it looks cool, and yours: that it doesn't so far. to me it looks good enough, im not a photographer. seems u r not either.
3. making photo blue is the only similarity - even a 12 y/o child would see more similarity than that.

ty for comment though

It was a shame you did not get her hair inside the frame on the upper part of the photo.
The photo is at some places overexposed, which I find sad.

But I like the composition, and I would like to try that some day! :)

I have to agree with Veilside and Qhotex. I really like the idea though! :) I'd personally go for a more neutral white balance though... the blue is slightly too overwhelming imo.
