Quality isn't so great on this, my camera is terrible except for macros...

Hm. The first thing that springs to mind on #2 is an inbuilt flash. I'm sorry to say but that flash is harsh! The flower is way overexposed because of it. I like the sky picture though :)

Yea that's what it is, it's rather difficult to take a macro in near pitch black with a 2 or 3 year old point and shoot.

I realize that x3 Why don't you try taking the shot when the outdoor lighting is right? : >

But isn't there a setting on your camera that allows you to adjust the flash intensity?
I found something on mine.... or at least I think that's what it does, but I haven't played with it yet :p

I think that taking the shot at night allows you to have a dark background and having the light only on the subject.... ;)

There is a setting like that, but, sadly it was turned down as low as it could be. :(

And yea I wanted to just get those two flowers and nothing else.
