Not the best photo, I know. I only saw this bird for literally 5 seconds before it flew off, and this was the only shot I got.
I have never seen this type of bird before, and was quite amazed by it's colors.

I like the bokeh in this as well, it was unintentional.


I think I might get a bird feeder and set that up, it seems my backyard has become quite a habitat. (We have all sorts of chickadees, yellow ones, brown ones, black ones, white ones..and now red ones!! We
also get a lot of Robins. I spotted this bird actually due to a Robin, as a Magpie bird was attacking the nest of the Robin, the 'mother and father' were both attacking back at the Robin making some
different distinct noises! I looked out, went outside to shoo the damn Magpie away, and as I walked back, I got a glimpse of this rare sight, for only a few seconds!)

Ps: The only processing done was some slight contrast & saturation adjustments.

I have never seen one lke this before either...
Now with your talent, make sure you set up a date with it and take some nice shots to show us all!!!

was it really silvery on the side or is that the contrast saturation adjustments? sad that you didn't get a chance to get more shots of it looks beautiful

It was like that. I think that is actually water though.
