I did it on purpose.
not in every situation and this is one of where it doesent fit, would be cool if the head was showing fully, but cutting off the top of the head ruins it imo. Cutting off top of head fits on straight from ahead human portraits where there isnt enything else(or atleast eny details) showing on the pic than face. When head of the bird is so high on the frame eyes wont catch the subject you want to show so easilly, but keeps wandering all over the frame(and keep consentrating on the ugly looking pink part of the nose) and thats a really bad thing. What makes the rule of thirds to work so good in arts is that human eyes automaticly catch on thirds and if you place the subject on thirds eyes catch on the subject instead of wandering around of the frame, and usually eyes is where you want to make the viewers to focus on.
