PRICE $2,100.00
At this price, I'll find out where it was shot from, pay for airfare, enjoy the vacations and take as many pictures as I can!!!!

Me too. Have you looked that programs of his, travels to the edge? Its really good, i like nature and travelling programs and that combines both nicely and its from a perspective of a photographer :o

But best photos i have seen are portraits from Anton Corbijn, i especially like his work shooting tom waits

Oh I would never pretend to reproduce a pro's art pieces...
But I will enlarge and frame my own pictures that would also bring back memories, before I spend such an amount on a print or even a painting!!
Imagine the nice vacations I would have for the same price, and my pictures would include beautiful memories....

I have to agree with you on that one. I am sure most people take pictures so they will be able to bring back fond memories later on and not as fancy art. I didn't check the link the thread starter provided but I personally believe that 2 grand for a picture is a total rip off I mean with proper knowledge everyone could become a good photographer unlike painting...
