hahaha nice "I told you so" comment jk
but I do agree with you that it's a really amazing lens and I was also surprised by how sharp it is even at a 100% crop.
100% crop of center area of #3

Anyway! Now I am going to try to find a decent filter for this lens lol. I am not sure if I want to spend 250 bucks plus tax on a B+W circular polarizer though lol maybe I'll get the much cheaper Hoya...
What kind of filter are you using on yours?

I'm just using a protective filter, is all. I wanted a polorizer, but felt like spending 200 bucks on something a little more useful. Plus, polorizers are a little different on wide angles than any other lens.

Well if you check the response to the question I asked in thephotoforum that Hoya Pro D1 filter may be just as good as that 200+ dollar B+W filter. Like you I am totally not willing to pay 200+ bucks for a stupid filter lol.

hahaha! Thanks guys :p
I don't know why my 17-85 lens perform so poorly sometimes lol maybe it's just me but you are right that Sigma lens is noticeably sharper and it's actually cheaper than the Canon lens :o stupid greedy Canon lol
