ok so i have to photograph my band at where we practice, i have a white king size sheet for background, gaffa tape to hold it up
the only lighting i will have is the natural light from the room and my flashgun.

the lighting i need is high key but dont have any chance for them to get down to the college studio

images i have done before are here: http://s208.photobucket.com/albums/bb304/wilkozade2005/band%20members/

but my tutor says there bad cos of the shadows or something.

do i just need more distance between them and the background?

thanks

It seems to me, that you need some kind of reflectors so it will reflect, and get rid of that shadow (I think those umbrella-looking things) I don't know much about this kind of thing, but I hope my guess is right.

You need a fill light pointing at where the shadows would be to get rid of them.

so just having a reflector there would help get rid of the shadows?

If you reflect the light onto the area where the shadows are cast, yes.

You're better off just stealing some shitty desk lamp and using that instead of a reflector.
