I have seen a thread a while ago talking about pet peeves relating to photography (maybe there are other pet peeves you have too).

Some examples: don't like the way someone holds their camera, forgetting to change settings before taking a picture, etc...

What's yours?

Mine would be the fact that some people are "go by the books" they don't bend the "rules" or anything... they have it strict in their mind that "this is the way it SHOULD be."

Another one is the fact of how people that think just because I have a quality camera that it takes WONDERFUL and magnificent photos. But in reality, it's not the camera, but the guy behind it.

And another one: Egotistical photographers

I hate it when I'm trying to take a photo, and my subjects, even if I know them, are too damn camera shy not to run away.
It annoys me that I can almost never get a decent candid shot.

And I also hate egotistical photographers.

Lol. I have Many, and I'm sure some things I do are probably peeves of others!

Anyways, here's what I can think of right now:

-When people make big scenes just because your camera is much bigger than their Kodak p&S @ The Zoo.
-When people don't notice my huge camera, and hit it, and then don't apologize...Not to be mean, but this probably cost more than their entire families wardrobe...
-People getting in the way. I was once at the zoo, hand holding my 70-200 when an old, overweight man stood literally in front of me, and setup his $30 tripod with his P&S on it! Like, c'mon!

Another thing I don't like is how people assume that a expensive camera will give you amazing shots. (A few of my friends go out and buy $3000 DSLR's and expect to get good shots, and get mad when they don't) It's not the camera that matters. I've seen great stuff done with a disposable film camera!

And this might not be a huge pet peeve, but when people take pictures, and purposely over/under expose, over/under contrast/saturate etc.. It bugs me!
Lol, I have a lot I think.

I also don't like egotistical photographers. I've only met one, and he though he was so good he literally took one of my photos, edited and posted it. :(
Perhaps I' on by editing others too lol. But the person I knew literally said it had to look the way he edited it.

Is this bad? :(

Lol how don't you understand?
I said I don't like egotistical photographers who take others photos, edit them and then tell the person "This is what it has to look like"
However, I may be one to have done that before...but I tend to say it more as an inspiration, or a vision.

I always think that too on TV, yet I notice they always use the exact same old pentax film.

No it wasn't that part lol. It was the bolded part in the sentence... the "Perhaps I' on by editing others too lol" makes NO sense in my mind... my brain just mumbles it all together like Chinese, then I have no idea :S

But now that you have explained it better, I understand now ^_^ and that's okay to edit others photos, I guess it all depends on how you do it.
