Yea I saw a guy who had a silver 450D the other day - it kinda gave me the sudden urge to grab it from him and throw it at something really hard

haha but on topic, $229 seems like a scam of some sort, the longest warranty pack is half the price of the body!

Agreed.
I think the lowest price I've seen a 450D body was around $400.


Edit: And the silver looks horrific in my opinion!
Looks like it's made of cheap plastic, and old. (Because the older DSLR's by Canon were silver.)
