Liked the daisy better.

I like it for the DOF and colour, but I think the lighting is a little strange - a little over exposed, I think.Also, the background is kind of a grainy gray, instead of black.

Yeah, some parts are ab it OE, I used off camera flash from the right, and a flashlight under to the left.
And the flower is kinda dead lol.


I don't know what you mean grainy, it was at a 100-200iso.

Maybe it's just jpg compression that I'm seeing then.
I only meant that the background isn't fully black, and it shows some very sight texturing.
I think it would be nicer if you could make the background maybe black, or something close to it.The colours of the flower are vibrant, and the gray background detracts from it a little.

Imo the upper side needs bit more room allso there could be some room on the right side. You should have used higher f-number(if you used f-22 then you were bit too close of the flower), so that one leaf wont get blurred, allso you should have taken the pic bit more up right, so that the flower stays in same spot in the frame, but that blurred leaf wont get in the flowers way like that. Colors are great, imo its not over exposed, more like just the right exposure. If you would just add some black on up and right it would be great, now the framing is too tight and doesent look good. I like the way light comes to the flower, how did you fire it?

Cactus V2s on the right through softbox with reflector on the left. Also used a flashlight on the reflector to get the bottom lit.
