Spelled "vacation" wrong lol -_-

Alright, well I went down to Vrginia Beach for a few days with my family.
While I was there I bought my first Dslr, a Canon Rebel XSi as many of you suggested.
I took a bunch of pictures down there but heres just some.

If you could give me some constructive criticism on what I could improve on and how to improve on it, please do ^_^
And for anyone who has a XSi and knows a few tricks with the camera lmk :)

It's my first dslr, so still getting used to it, but here it goes:

Any suggestions? o.o
Trying to get better with a dslr as this is the first time I've used one.
So if anyone can give me a few suggestions that they see I could have done better with, post up ^_^

Nice first shots!

I see you've done it a few times which is good [7-10], but always try and position your main subject in a third of the picture (off-centre) [1,6]. Some of the things you have chosen to shoot are slightly boring, partly because you've filled the frame with the whole object [18,19] So all you've got to do is move back and capture more of the surroundings!. Here's something to try for the next time you get a chance to shoot a subject in motion [12] Instead of freezing the entire image, follow your subject with your camera, eg. the subject remains in one section of the frame until you press the shutter release. If you use a slightly slower shutter speed (just play around) you will freeze the subject, whilst the background is blurred - this is very effective as you will create a feeling of speed. Remember and give the subject 'room' to move into in your frame. (don't get the subject dead in the centre, or too far in the direction it is travelling or it will look like your too slow)!

But overall pretty cool considering this is your first time

Hope this has helped mate :)
