Well i have a warranty wondering what im supposed to ship with my camera though,
Just the body?

Well the problem is that this little clip thing came out from the shutter i beleive and so it only takes about a third of the whole picture on the frame

well i couldnt go without taking pictures in france so while i was over there i found a solution and it seems that when i flip the camera over it takes full pics
so i looked like an idiot with my camera flipped over for a few days

will post a few pics later

so is it just the body i ship?
or do i need to send battery/strap/discs/ and all that stuff?

show example of what it does, i think its because of shutter broke down and doesent get fully away from frame before camera takes the pic

that's exactly it, here's what it does,

looks like a broken shutter to me, you should email that place that does the repairing for it and show that pic, because i cant be 100% sure. Most likely they just ask you to send the body there

well i read the warranty paper it says to ship the canon camera in its original carton and thatch it, it doesnt say to call or aniything

Well its bit different here in finland, we have this company that does warranty and other repairs, lens calibrations etc for canon and they charge canon after the repair if it goes to warranty. If i would send my camera to canon or take it back to shop, they would just send it to same place i can take it to myself. You should try to find out if there is some company like that there allso.

That's a broken shutter for sure! This is EXACTLY what happened to my camera!!!! My warranty covered it, thank god. It's worth about 200 bucks to replace without warranty

What I did, I went back to the place where I bought it from and they shipped it to Canon for me. You can probably go to any camera store and they will do it for you... oh and you just send the body
