that dogs a fine action shot, but i bet you didnt have ur 40D in high-speed mode. more action photos plz!

Thanks! lol All I did was using a high shutterspeed and then just pointed at that running dog and pressed the shutter button :D
and yes I was using the single shot mode hahaha sorry to disappoint ya but I have never tried out the high speed mode on my camera because I have never had the chance to I mean all those action shots I have tried to take so far were accidental so I never had the time to change the settings lol but I do hope to go to some sport events later on and really take advantage of the high speed :p


EDIT: just a noobish question but shall I use the AI Servo mode when taking action shots?

you should put it in high speed mode and hold the shutter button in for two seconds its shocking... you'll take 12-13 pictures, that's 120mp worth of pictures in 2 seconds!!

e/ I do, and make sure only the centre point is selected, and as long as your subject falls under the centre point, it will be in focus :)
