Just using a cheap Point and Shoot. Anyway, Im just looking for some critiquing. I know nothing about photography, and am in the early days of my photo class. I think reponses from other photographers could make me a little more knowledgable on the subject. Id really appreciate it.

First picture: The reflection on the leaves are bright and blurred and the glare from it is bothering me. That thing in the center of the photo - what in the world is it?! It is confusing. Also the colors are uninteresting.
Second picture: I think it would have been a better picture if you had taken the picture sideways (turn the camera 90 degrees) so you capture more of the picnic table and the area around it. Also should have taken the picture at a lower angle. Taking picture of the tables from that high angle makes it less interesting.
Third picture: Not sure how to improve this, but the amount of shadows make it kind of hard to see the detail of the trees. Did you take this picture with flash? Probably would have improved the outlook of this picture if you used flash.
Fourth picture: Not sure what to say here, not a very interesting picture lol.
Last picture: I like this one the best from among these pictures, but the colors are really bland. Need to give it some electricity to make the picture more interesting. Make the colors more saturated or something. Probably need to photoshop it a bit.

a lot of these pictures have an infinite focal length while the focal point is almost right in front of the camera.
Try get some bokeh in there to improve the composition.

For the last one, I would have done something like :

Make it stand out a bit more...however, the tangled mess in the bottom left corner kinda annoys me.

Does everyone in this forum use PS on all their photos?

No, they probably don't use it for everything.
However, PS can help give a picture the meaning that you wanted it to have when you took it.

Why do you think it matters what camera you use on getting a meaning for pic? Imo film cameras help on it tho a bit, since you might want to think more before you take the shot with it.

Are many original pics posted? I dont have PS or anything so this is pretty much straight from my camera.

Futurama is posting "original" pictures. Maybe Chantal too.
Blackrose and I use Lightroom from adobe.
