I just wanted to see how good that new wide aperture lens of mine works when taking outdoor night photos so I went out last night and took some test shots and the results are a lil bit disappointing. First of all I discovered that I couldn't use slower shutterspeed than 1/20 seconds and I had to use very high ISO speeds on my camera most of the time even when I was shooting directly into street lights :o and of course being a prime lens I had to walk closer or back away from the subject instead of zooming lol. Anyway! here are the pictures and they are pure test shots so if you don't like them then it's because you are being too picky and has nothing to do with my noobish skills :D jk

I used high f-number in some of those shots because I wanetd to get those nice star bursts :p
but I think in #2 and 3 I used the maximum or close to maximum aperture but still had to use high ISO speed.

star bursts?

second is 2.2 and thrid 3.2. Imo it looks like you could have exposed them bit more, by using bit lower f-numbers.
