These were taken July 4, 2008 as my first attempt at taking photos of fireworks.

Tell me what you think, and I have some B/Ws to upload from the same night

agreed smile.gif

Just wondering, does anyone know why in the second picture the sky is "blacker" than in the first?

Ah, a bit of info. Use a Canon AE-1, about 20 years old; 400 ISO film (not the best for night shots / fireworks but its all I had); Used varying shutter speeds, but I believe these were 500ms - 250ms.

I don't know quite as much about cameras as I wish, but that should help answer your questions.

Wow! You actually tried to take pictures of fireworks with a film camera ohmy.gif that's something I would never dare to do biggrin.gif
Well they do look quite good even though the composition could've been better and I think it would have been more interesting if you got some of the landscape/cityscape too by using a slower shutterspeed

I thought it was a cheap point and shoot camera. xD
I have the same Camera as you, the AE-1. I think you should do land and cityscape like Futurama said.
