Are these with the 18-55mm??
You should try reverse lens to get a 50mm at least for closer up "macro" shots.
I just feel like some detail is missing in the flowers...
Your composition is amazing, but the detail is what I bothers me most sad.gif

I think you should also stop putting those borders!!! They look like something from a scapbook!
Just put spaces between your photos here on jsp:

the borders are just for fun wink.gif

yep taken with the kit lens i agree the first picture is lacking a lot of detail. proberbly because i tryed to mf and its so fiddly on the kit lens as you know :S

Manual focus on a flower? Are you crazy lol!
Wind (Which is always there, even if you don't think so) causes any flower to move all the time. (Flowers are always moving, unless in a controlled place like indoors)
So manual focusing flowers is never going to get very sharp results because the focus will always be changing!

yeh ur right it was silly, especially with that lens. Anyways ill use af in future!

The second picture is really awesome and perfect smile.gif but I am not sure if I like the first one that much though probably because it's not as bright as the first one maybe you should have used a more appropriate shutter speed or whatever.
