Just because BlackRose mentioned something about backing up files, here's a link to a free 10GB service, you'll have to pay if you want more storage than that, but for backing up important projects, 10 GB should be enough, unless you've got a few hundred high res medium format drum scans kicking around.

I have all my photos on an External 1Tb HD, and on my laptop.
(VERY important photos are also on CD's)

I use Mozy for online backup, because I promoted them before and won a free shirt out of it...And because iJustine has the same shirt

well when you run out of your 10GB then you can have a +2

Or just make a new account on the 10GB one Or pay a small monthly fee for unlimited storage. Hell, I could just use one of my websites as a storage server. 750GB storage, and 7500GB monthly bandwidth should be enough.
