HHmm... I need to get a bigger black backdrop.
My idea for attempt 3 would be the same as this, except with red dyed water and a larger frame (fitting the entire glass in it)
And with a piece of regular window glass on the bottom causing a cool reflection, all in front of black backdrop.
(With a flash placed to the left/right, off camera. (I have to wait until I get my computer back, then to buy the wireless flash slaves)
Anyways, here's what I got yesterday:

Much better than the first act, but I'd like to see the whole glass, instead of just the top of it.

and this is also spam.

on a side note:
you need to get rid of all the little tiny air bubbles on the side of the glass. Also, you should take the picture as the grape is entering the water, yea easier said than done.
