Foreword: Yes, it's an HDR, which means that you run into the typical problems and critiques. I understand it isn't for everyone and each person's preference in terms of acceptable saturation, contrast, halo'n is different. I realize that in this case, the foreground has lighting issues that make them far a bit too bright. That being said, however, I believe that a HDR image is an acceptable depiction of what the eye sees, considering the dynamic range associated with a sunset picture. Perhaps the way it was done isn't the best, but that's the point of posting, for constructive criticism.http://i44.tinypic.com/b8k6br.jpg
Picture is of the view from my dorm room on the 8th floor of the residence hall. I grabbed my camera as fast as I could but I still couldn't get it at its peak, which is why I'm not quite satisfied with it. It was really hard to align the three images because I had no tripod and I was dangling out the window so I ended up having to crop a bit, losing some of the nicer pieces of the sky. Anywho, enough about that, any thoughts as to how to make this better?
[Sorry for making all the snow-bound Easterners jealous. Just know that I didn't see falling snow until just last month, so it's all relative.

Here's a bonus picture to make any of those snow-bound Easterners who ride even more jealous. Friend took it at the criterium we had this weekend in Santa Barbara. Canon 20D with a Sigma 70-200 f/2.8 APO panned at 1/100. We switched roles after my race and I took a couple for him but I'm really not that great at panning with such a long lens. Anyone else here do any road cycling? Doesn't seem like anyone posts on it in the "Fitness" sub-forum but I'm too cheap to do a search.

Not a fan of HDR. it looks nice but if it was no hdr it would not be something special. The second picture of the bike is pretty cool though
