The first one is really great. But if I have to say something, the thing should be that I think you should catch some of the landscape, not only the skies.

landscapes were quite too dark/meaningless (=cutted) trust me..

yeh really nice photos chantal!

if you underexpose your sky pictures by -1, Technic, or even more they will have really nice bright colours, try it!

Well I have to agree with you that having a bit of the landscape would make those pictures look a lot better even if the landscape itself is boring or too dark. Sometimes the silhouette of structures or trees would actually look quite good.
