Ok so tomorrow I'm shooting a wedding.
(A small, private weddings) (And when I say small, I mean SMALL. approx 10 people in a nice home)

Basically I've been hired to do this small wedding, and I want it to be good smile.gif

So, I've already read tons of books, read up on lots online and have learned a lot, but nothing really pertains
to this wedding as it's literally 10 people!

I'm stumped on whats lens to use.
They want some full body shots, and some head shots, their hands together, the rings etc.

I'm not sure which lens to use for what!?
(I'll be using the flash for almost all of them, bounced and diffused off the ceiling)
If you could help by telling me what lens to use for that type of photos, that would be great!

70-200mm=
28mm Wide=
50mm Prime=

-Thanks in advance!

28mm wide will be good for group shots.
50mm prime for everything else.

No prob, the telephoto lens isn't really useful for that much, in my opinion anyway, I never bother using mine. I can understand for sports photography, but not for much else.

Imo get them all with you. 28mm is good for "normal" lens and full body shots. 50mm for portraits of guests and 70-200 for the seremony, its good that you dont need to be right next to them while theyr getting married. If there is enough light all the time and depending on how much room there is, you could use only the 70-200 for portraits, but take the 50mm with you enyways.

One thing you should know about using flash incase you didnt know this. Put the camera settings so that without the flash light meter shows -2 to -1, dont use too slow shutterspeed tho. If you need to put iso bit high it doesent matter much since flash gives so good exposure that it wont get that grainy where the flash hits.

Just an update.

The wedding went amazing today. Was really nice, a beautiful bride and really cool groom.
(He came down and watched up play some Brawl after the wedding and everything, was pretty fun!)

Got some amazing shots, everything perfect smile.gif

I used 28mm wide for the walkway and personal bride shots to get the full dress, and 50mm the ceremony.
back to 28mm for some candids of the family talking. (literally 10 people at the wedding)
Then back to 50mm for cutting the cake (Cake custom made from Sobeys haha, was really nice and simple, very very small!)
