I saw in another photography forum a few very awesome portraits of some action figures so I thought I'd try that too lol. Since I only have like one cool action figure so I had to be more innovative, first I found a nice wallpaper of Batman and that picture on my computer monitor as the background.

#1 I underexposed it on purpose hope it's not too dark for you guys lol.

#2

#3 Taken with flash and obviously flash made mr Joker's already very pale face even paler lol.

Try this photo, by setting up your tripod, and using a high F number, and a longer shutter speed biggrin.gif

Oh! You mean with the background in focus too? hmm yeah that sounds like a good idea lol but I don't have a tripod, yet lol. I went to stupid Don's last week and the carbon fiber tripod I wanted was out of stock and the salesperson told me to wait until their huge sale in late April lol.
but I will try to do what you suggested without a tripod smile.gif.

I have to admit that it does look much better with a less blurred background lol.

And I found a very cool wallpaper ohmy.gif. This is the wallpaper I am using now hehe.

interesting idea, wonder what it would like with an external light focusing on the joker but not the background so the background doesn't overexpose as much or if you turn down the brigtness of the monitor and use a longer exposure

Lol that new batman sucks, its nothing like real batman just some hollywood shit that looks a bit like it(sorry). But that 4th pic looks pretty nice, it really looks like that batman figure is real. I just wish the joker was bit more to left side and that red light on jokers face was whiter

I know! I kinda wish that I have a fluorescent lamp or some kind of strobe so the Joker's face would be all white instead of orange lol. Well I guess a lamp for my desk is something I am going to buy next week ^^.

Hey! Don't diss that movie. It's really good and I think you are probably the only person in this forum who doesn't like it tongue.gif. uh is there actually a REAL Batman? ohmy.gif unsure.gif
I hope you are not talking about that awful TV show they made in the 60s where the Batman look like a gay or transsexual person in a very very tight dry suit tongue.gif.
and a theme song that goes nanananananananana Batman! laugh.gif

oh and I did take another picture in which the Joker was placed a bit more to the left tongue.gif

God forbid they make anyone ever look gay. The world's changing. Go watch Milk sometime.

As for the pictures, try using a flash light and a diffuser on it of some sort.

hmm I don't really get the first sentence lol but if you think that I am homophobic you are wrong tongue.gif I even had a real life friend who is openly gay and I even wanted to go and take pictures at a gay pride festival in Sweden last summer if the weather wasn't so shitty. I have heard of that movie "Milk" (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1013753/) but I haven't seen it, yet. As I told my parents once gay people were born that way it is not a disease and it is certainly not a life style they choose to live it's just like people who were born left-handed. End of discussion tongue.gif.

I am thinking about buying a lamp of some sort for my desk next week so I will probably use it as a light source when I take portraits of action figures or macro pictures in the future lol.

Not wanting to start anything so in no way is this an accusation of anything at all. Just that I'm a bit tired of people like my roommate who say they support gay rights and all and call people they don't like f*gs and gays on the other hand. Being from California without Proposition 8 banning Gay Marriage and my own brother being an out-of-the-closet homosexual, I'm a bit touchy on any hint of homophobia.

Anywho, a lamp works too if you rubber band a piece of white printer paper to the front of it. I actually leave mine on because it softens the light and makes it easier on the eyes when I'm working. I've had loads of fun fiddling with different-shaped diffusers on lamps and slave flashes.
