when your uploading what sites do u use? flickr or others?
do u upload the fullsize image and let the site manage it or upload the size u want smaller generally speaking...?
/edit basically want to know if u lose much quality from flickr downsizing your pics , (is it worth uploading the larger ones?)

I upload to DA, Flickr and my own website.

You probably won't notice any loss of quality from downsizing when you upload to Flickr, I know on DA that you can just upload the original image and set it to a range of resolutions to display and still have the fullsize original available to download.

I know photobucket drops the quality when you upload, that's for sure. I upload there and at flickr. Mostly at photobucket though.

yeh i knew photobucket did but i wasn't sure about flickr and wanted to know what people do coz well i don't wanna upload my pics and have them dropping huge quality atm i been making them 1000 X xxx so they are smaller to upload on my connection and so i don't use all my bandwidth but i am wondering if thats a good idea or not if they are dropping quality on top of what i drop could lose a lot , which i don't really want

resize on your computer to final size before sharpening, save for web and devices and you get best results

Get a Flickr pro account, it doesn't drop the quality.

Using Flickr free is pretty much useless, you get no options.

Pro you can chose a vary of resolutions, upload with NO quality loss etc.

Flickr what I've started using, then everybody else did after they realized you can go to >properties>copy n paste the .jpg file without the =?12t6 at the end.

That is the best option, especially if you don't want anyone having access to your original high res images.

Flickr Pro you can set your copyright to not allow anybody to copy the image from the site happy.gif
When you try saving it, it comes out as a spaceball.gif

There're still ways around it. If the file's on the 'net, it's possible to get it.
