Well I haven't managed to collect whole a lot of pennies yet since I started collecting them like two months ago so these are the pennies I have managed to collect so far:

I gotta say that I really like the bright light coming from my new monitor biggrin.gif I just used a white background, usually google.com and it would be more than enough for me to take some decent close up pictures of things biggrin.gif.

This is the result of my first attempt to take reversed macro pictures lol I think I just used the wrong settings or whatever. Going to try again later lol.

Actually...
I think the first one would have looked AMAZING if ALL of the pennies were flipped one way with the maple leaf face up.
Then 1 coin (The top one, off center) with the face up, and it being an American penny.
Would be amazing imo, an old, rustic look happy.gif

hmm are they underexposed?? ohmy.gif May it is my monitor that is too bright because they look properly exposed to me lol.

lol hmm I will to take some with flash too later I didn't use a flash because I thought they would get really overexposed because of the short distance between the object and my camera, if that makes sense lol.

Nope, since the image you took was purely black. You need light in macro

Oh you were talking about the failed reversed macro picture hahahaha. Yeah I guess I will have to use flash in that one lmfao! Think that's the very first pure black picture I have taken so far, kinda amusing though lol.
I just took my lens off and held the other end tightly against the lens mount of the body and used the manual mode. I think I used ISO 800 and shutterspeed around 1/6 seconds so I am kinda surprised that the picture turned out to be absolutely black...

I guess I'll just post some pictures in this old thread because I don't think they are interesting enough to justify making a new topic.

Stupid lens hood cast a huge shadow when I was using the built in flash lol but I kinda like the shadow though

haha I actually tried to cover part of the flash with my fingers and the result was a very red picture lol I guess the light went through my flesh ohmy.gif
