Splashed Dektol on this instead of straight dipping, like how it turned out.

Self Portait shot with a very basic manual SLR.

Going to either try double negative exposure, scratching my negative, or actually painting the photo-paper with Dektol tomorrow.

Awesome stuff, I like seeing people work with actual film instead of digital.

Haha, yeah. It's hard work but it's so much more satisfying.

I have to agree with Veilside I mean sure Photoshop could do much more but it's like cheating lol
Now shooting with a film slr and achieve some effects and stuff while developing that's the real skills smile.gif.

Here's some "new" stuff:

Went intentionally blurry on this one, I like the effect it gave it.

Used test strips and a 5x7 to make this in my sketchbook (yes, I use a sketchbook; its tons of fun).

Pin-hole self portrait. Decided not to turn the negative to a positive, I like it better this way.

As you can tell, I really like black and white photography. I also do 95+% of my photography using film SLRs and spending time in the dark room. Obviously these are all self-portraits because that's what I'm kind of into working with right now, although I'm going to be moving to a new subject pretty soon.

Also, if anyone doesn't know what a pinhole camera is, you should look into it. They're extremely primitive but a ton of fun to use.

hah that sketchbook looks cool.

You know you can make pinhole lens to slr by making hole to the cap that protects the camera when you got no lens on it, or just use cardboard you tape on. If you let little light in the sensor or film from the edges of cardboard you can get cool efect on the pic

I like using actual pinhole cameras I make though because 1) it's fun to make 'em and 2) something about pinhole makes me want to use fish-eye a lot and it's easy to do if you just use a rounded back for the film.

I've never tried it that way though, to get that effect. Maybe I'll try it some time.
