Sorta like a "post-count" thing LOL!

How many photos do you have under your belt??
If you don't know how to figure this out, go take a picture and look at the file name when you put it onto your computer.
eg: "IMG_5341" etc.

Mine is at 8415 Since I got my camera in October 2008!

OMG! You people make me look like a lazy bum .

I think I have taken around 2000 pictures with my first 40D which I bought around the end of July last year and over 600 with my second 40D so in total less than 2700 pictures since last summer .

When i had my point and shoot i took around 3k with it, around 7k with 400d, 8.5k with 40d if i remember right(i checked it before i sold), about 2k with 1d mkI and 4.5k with 1d mkIII(i tested quite much that shutter wont in few first shots during the 2 first weeks of the 1month warranty i had on it, maybe about 1k of these are just testing that the shutter wont brake).

i reset my shutter release count evertime i format my card.

but <1.5k

if you count b&w film i could say hundred thousand

Well I have been shooting with the same card ever since I got my second 40D so I can see exactly how many pictures I have taken with it.

there is setting for that somewhere in the camera

Hit menu>>settings>>File numbering>> (continuous[default]), (Auto reset[each time card is formated, reset])
