So, I made the reverse lens macro Adapter
it's fricken awesome!!

You should go make one yourself if you can spare $3.00 on a spare body cap and have an old, unused filter (I myself used the crappy stock lens protection filter that came with my camera lol.)
(And you may need a drill to drill a hole in the body cap)

Here's a few shots I've done with it so far.
Seriously amazing. I get macro shots and old spent about $3.00 in total, instead of $800+ on a macro lens.

Here's the adapter. You basically put it on like a filter, then put the lens on the body backwards! (Which in turn reverses the lens glass the same way a macro lens does)

I also like the DoF with it



I only had some flowers to test it out on so far that my mom got for Valentines day from my dad
Seriously, I love macro. It's the only thing I missed from the S5 IS (It has a 'Super Macro' function allowing the glass to be just .9cm away from the subject.


18-55mm lens reverse zoom @ 55mm in MF.

I think the third one and the fifth one are really nice.

The main problem is that the 18-55 is not a great performing lens on it's own. If you reverse it you are putting it's flaws more in evidence.
It's not bad for 3$ though.

Interesting. What exactly is not good with this lens? I can't see the flaws; just curious about it.

The 18-55mm is not a good lens from the start as a kit.

Reversing it is an entirely different story.

It's DOF is perfect (not too much, not too little)
And the size/length is perfect (not too long, not too short)

I know it's not a good lens, but I've only HAD that lens + a wide angle, and another little lens. Therefore I don't see the difference.

i disagree i think its a very good kit lens considering its so cheap bundled with the camera. and all its really there for it to teach you about all the functions of the camera.

Yeah, it's just a standard lens; hehe. I didn't mind it for my very first. You're better off startin with it
