I tried hard to underexpose a few of the pictures I took earlier today and I think two of them turned out quite ok. The reason behind the underexposure is because the lack of color during the winter and snow has been in most of the winter pictures I have taken so far so I thought if I underexpose some of the pictures the boring whiteness of the snow would be less noticeable but of course if you have a different opinion or ideas just post them here wink.gif

#1 Well it seems that the flare is a lot less prominent in this picture not sure if it had something to do with that I cleaned the lens or I just used a narrower aperture

#2

#3 I just like the color in this picture.

Thanks for the fine examples of Spam...

What do you think is boring about them man? What do you think would make them more exciting?

no but he is right.

however, these pictures are not boring.

maybe try to use a smaller aperture then put the exposure compensation up a bit, or use a slower shutterspeed.
number 1 is great, but just a little underexposed

well the whole idea behind those first two pictures is to have the right exposure on the sky and the sun while having the rest underexposed to have this uhh dark and kinda retro look but I guess I may have failed somewhat lol.

I have taken a few pictures of exactly same building and parking lot but people have told me that they aren't interesting at all and I should either overexpose the sky or have the buildings totally underexposed.

The reason why I calling them boring winter pictures is the lack of color and umm the spirit of the wonderful summer lol I guess I am just getting really sick of the cold weather and the boring whiteness/brown-grayness. sleep.gif
