It doesn't snow very often here in Seattle, so when it does its a big deal. This is probably some of the most snow we've gotten in around ten years.
They were orange as fuck due to shitty white balance and street lights so I made them black and white. Fixed in Capture NX2. Other than the B&W they're pretty much untouched.

#1 Snowy tree taken from my buddys porch.

#2 Different snowy tree, friends front yard.

#3 Church by my house. This one I made black and white.

#4 You can see a couple of snowflakes fell on my lens, otherwise I would love this picture.
Seattle drivers are overly cautious driving in snow, so in this 8 second exposure, the car in the photo only got like 20 feet or so. I like the headlight effect though.

I really like the first two pics. I have seen those frost covered trees in the morning but not often though since the wind blows more often than gas escape an old horses butt. sad.gif

Ouch! lol no matter how much I spend on a camera and lenses I don't think I would ever been able to take a 8 sec exposure photo handheld. Well unless I am crazy enough to stand absolutely still for like an hour and let my body freeze and become a tripod laugh.gif
Absolutely beautiful night picture I really like the blue lights wink.gif

Haha I used a tripod for all of these pics. Anything slower than 1/30 for me gets blurry.

Also as I said before I cheated with Capture NX to fix the white balance. Even with tungsten they turned out orange. Capture NX is nikon software that only really works with nikon RAW image files, you can change non mechanical settings like white balance and it also simulates the "developing" process you would go through with film (to make things lighter or darker depending on how you develop them, etc).
