First off, I would like to say, wow! I am amazed by the quality of this beautiful lens; I was totally NOT expecting these to turn out the way they did. Some of the composition sucks, but I fell in love with the colors of these photos heart.gif Criticism is welcome!

I think I like #4 and 7 the most because of the colors and composition but I think #3 is a lil bit underexposed though.
So you finally got your ass out of your house and took some pictures biggrin.gif Well it was quite nice outside earlier this afternoon and it was like -5 which is unusually warm biggrin.gif

well up until a couple of days ago it had been -30 or even lower for a week or two or something like that and I was so happy biggrin.gif when the weather started to get warmer and I could only imagine what it will be like here during the summer wub.gif. I am not sure what kind of income you have but I have this crappy lousy job and have a bunch of bills to pay but I still managed to save for a EOS 40D body in a lil bit more than a month tongue.gif but of course I didn't have a life at all during that month lmao I worked 60+ hours a week rolleyes.gif Still I think it was worth it because now I am able to take photos almost whenever I want.

ah it's never easy to be a poor student, sometimes you have to choose between work and school. Don't tell me that you are paying like hundreds of dollars in phone bills. I know here in Canada it is expensive to own a cellphone and from what I have heard from friends of mine they pay everything between 50 and 100+ dollars a month which is ridiculously. I am currently using a prepaid service only because I don't make whole a lot of phonecalls and not whole a lot of people really call me but hopefully it will change though and I will find myself spending too much on my cellphone bills. lol
Well maybe you will be able to get a fulltime job during the summer. so you will be able to save some money to get yourself a nice camera wink.gif

the pics are ok but here are a few tips to improve your photography:

- Don't be lazy and shoot everything from the same height (standing position). Wide angle lens really benefit from perspective.

- Think more before you shoot, look into the viewfinder and check the borders for stuff you don't like.

- Try and find the correct exposure, take more than one pic of the same changing exposure to compare.

- When using a wideagle watch for vertical lines (sides of buildings, trees etc...), they look much better when they are straight.

- When using a wideangle try to put something in the foreground of the frame to avoid the "casual emptiness".

Cheers.
