Well when I was at the local camera store to buy a brand new EOS 40D earlier today I saw them selling quite a lot of old film cameras, mostly Canon and Pentax with some really old looking lenses and the guy at the store told me that most of those lenses do not have EF mount so they won't work with Canon digital slrs sad.gif but I did see a Canon EOS IX Lite film camera with EF 22-55 USM lens and I was sooooooo tempted to buy it because it only cost 75 dollars lol. I didn't buy it because it's an APS camera and I was not sure if there is crop factor on film APS cameras. Maybe some of you guys can recommend a good film camera that can use EF lenses and use regular 35mm film. I am not sure if I want to buy other brands because I don't want to buy new lenses or have lenses that I can't use on my DSLR too biggrin.gif

Really old canon film cameras have fd mount, but all eos cameras have ef mount. Full frame camera means that the sensos is same sized as 35mm film, so none of the film cameras work with ef-s lenses, those are made for 1.6 crop dslrs. You should get some old eos film camera for about that price. Iv seen eos 300 cameras with kit lens(28-85mm) sold for around 80-100€, i payed 90€ for mine with a bag, but that kit lens is total crap, so you might want some better lens with it, like 50mm 1.8 that is a great focal lenght for a film camera

Well I know about the fd mount and FOV crop and fullframe thingy tongue.gif but I was wondering if there is fov crop on APS film cameras as well and if there are other Canon film cameras than the EOS family that use EF mount like Canon AE-1 or whatever. hmm I am not sure if I want to buy a 50mm prime though course if I am going to buy a lens it's going to be used on my 40D too and 50mm is too much on a crop body so maybe I should look at EF 35mm f/2.0 or EF 24mm f/2.8 or something like those biggrin.gif

Have you used a film camera before? If you have, is there any cameras that you would recommend?
