Nice shot, I like the sharpness and the bokeh! smile.gif

I like it better than the "O'rly, owl". It is more like the "Hey dude!, eagle"

I really like it, but its not your best photo, in my opinion.

Ok and ill tell you why. When i see an image of an eagle flying i think its amazing, and i cant belive my eyes with the wingspan, etc. But when i see your photo of the eagle's head, i dont really get the stunned feeling that i do with a full eagle.

The time that some photographers must wait to try and get a photo of a flying eagle is not at all short. But seeing just its head, reminds me of someone just taking a photo at one of those birds of prey stands.

But however - it is a great photo and i dont doubt its awards for a minute.

My favourite photo of your is one called "TornWings" it just reminds me how free the butterfly is, and how fragile it is.

I spent about 3 hours at an outdoor bird sanctuary for the eagle to come to a feeder.
I was attempting to get its soul and emotion by capturing its eyes.

I did this for a National Geographic Magazine "Your Shot" display.

Got a question mate:
If a photographer takes a really good shot, what ways can they make money from it?

Sell it to people.
People in my area have "Coffee and Art houses"
A friend of mine sells some of his work for around $800 a piece there.
(And people buy it)
He walked out one night with about $3000 in his pocket, and like 5 other orders to be delivered.

But he sells massive pieces of work, stuff you see in museums, with frames and everything.
Very nice pieces.
http://www.kenhoehn.ca if you want to see his stuff.

Work for National Geographic or your local newspaper, they set a description of a shot they want, you go get it and they pay big for it to put in the magazine, paper etc.

Or sell your photos to stock websites, like istockphoto.com etc.
